Could you describe the daily tour lifestyle?

Yeah, it's basically do a sound check, eat dinner, do a gig, get on the bus, watch a movie, sleep, wake up, do a sound check, do a gig... and a lot of fun inbetween. A lot of craziness. There are some days when I'd rather be in my living room than in a hotel room, but you get used to that and just do the best you can.

Have you ever lost an audience on tour?

It's part of the business. Somedays you'll have good shows, other days bad shows. Now that we're performing alone we've got our own crowd. When you perform with other bands we had a lot of people walk out when we took the stage. But nobody's walked out on us lately.

Do you have any favorite groups to perform with?

Well, that's difficult to say. We've performed with the Stones, jammed with Roger Daltry. But really we'd be happy to perform with just about anybody. We met Jerry Garcia, that was cool. We also met Gene Simmons from Kiss. Everyone we've met has been real nice. We met Stephen Stills, he was great. A lot of nice people.

Who do you see as up and coming right now?

I really haven't had a chance to listen much, but I like what I hear on the radio. Whenever I get a chance I do the clubs in New York.

How often do you guys shave?

I shave every week, because I have a beard. Chris shaves every day because he just shaved his beard a month ago. Mark shaves two or three times a week and Anthony usually shaves and then grows a beard every week. He'll shave and have a beard by about 5 p.m. that day.

What was it like performing on Letterman?

It was great. But it was cold. Letterman keeps the studio at about 40 degrees because he likes it cold. When you're on stage you can see your own breath. But we've been on there about six times so everyone knows us.

Have any of your interviews ever been broadcast on the Internet before?

We have a spin-doc where we can answer questions from our fans. It's cool because it's not like we can have all our fans call us.

And it cuts through the initial "You're so good" stage.

Right. Plus it keeps us in contact with our fans. But we love the Net, and we try to keep on top of what's going on with it.
