Dear lord! After Green Day, punk has somehow prematurely become the new retro trend, escorting Face to Face to a major label. All of the ingredients for mainstream success are here: It's produced by Thom Wilson, the man responsible for the Offspring's mega hit album Smash, and the band is getting a big fat publicity push from their label. Could MTV be far behind? As for the album, Face to Face rips through it, with every track a crisp slap in the face. Luckily, this major label hasn't bleached the band's roots.
