John "Cougar" Mellencamp fiddler Lisa Germano is a much better songwriter than her boss. Working with a variety of textures, her songs seduce the listener with warm atmospherics. Never your standard fare, she pieces her music together with an eclectic mixture of sounds and peeps her girlish vocals over the top. This one is well worth checking out.
