Live At The BBC is the work of those lovable moptops pre-dope and pre-Yoko. Their standard sound then comprised cheeky originals, copies of recent American R&B hits, and the occasional Broadway show tune for McCartney to croon. No one's interested in that today, and rightfully so. In the end, Live At The BBC is little more than a product designed to give boomers the warm fuzzies, and to cash in on the long-ago bootlegged trade of these sessions.
